The Day I Was Offered A (Rather Large) Bribe
Back in the mid-to-late 1990s I was the Deputy Personal Finance Editor at the Daily Mirror. Admittedly, there were only two of us in the department, but the title would have looked good on my business card had I bothered to get one.
We produced the weekly Mirror Money, an 8-12 page supplement covering all areas of personal finance. Apparently it was Mirror Group CEO David Montgomery’s favourite part of the paper, most likely because it pulled in around £3million a year in advertising.
