Probably the most annoying thing about the media’s coverage of this season’s title race, and the current focus on City’s legal battle with the Premier League, is how it minimalized a truly remarkable achievement.
It's breathtaking how the narrative with almost everyone of city dominating the league is boring when the actual reality is recently ( 2018 being an exception, 19 points ahead of the Portuguese pulis ! ) the title race has gone to at least the last week if the season if not last day ! Somehow it's city's fault if other teams choke under pressure?? Utterly bizarre!!
Yeah, it's just lazy thinking. I also disagree with the idea that Arsenal bottled it, and that their settling for a draw at the Etihad was a mistake. Arsenal won eight of their last nine League games after that, which is pretty impressive considering they also had a tough Champions League tie. The reason they missed out on the title is because we didn't drop any points.
