Apologies again for the continued absence, but my recuperation has taken a lot longer than expected. However, I am now back to normal, or whatever counts as normal for a City obsessive.
Over the next few months I’m going to be writing about the 115 charges the club are currently facing.
I believe there are a lot of forces at work that the Gary Nevilles are never going to discuss publicly (see my article about the Overton Window and the sports media). These are mainly geo-political, and in my view, mean that the 115 charges cannot be separated from the wider relationship between the West and the Gulf States.
More specifically, I believe the outcome of the Premier League’s investigation will tell us a great deal about how much power the Gulf currently wields within global capital.
But I’m going to start my examination into Financial Fair Play by going back 120 years, to the last time City faced serious charges from football’s authorities. On Saturday 10th I’ll be publishing the first part of a serialization called The Men Who Plotted City’s Downfall.
Welcome back , glad you are doing ok .
